Raza Mikal Patel is 12-year-old, but has already reached an elite chess ranking. Raza, who is an 1900 rated Chess player, wanted to raise money for a charity that was in deep need by playing chess games with others attending the event for a cost. The success of this event then morphed into the deep desire to make a difference on a larger scale and to help other charities that supported children in need. Inspired by the strategic thinking and problem-solving skills chess nurtures, Raza decided to organize chess events to raise funds and awareness for children in need, combining his passion with purpose.
