Welcome to the Children’s Room!  Come in and see our rotating book displays, check out what’s on the new shelf, browse to your heart’s content and talk books with Jen, our Children’s Coordinator.  She is here to help you find what you are looking for and is always happy to make book recommendations.  

Programs & Events

Story Time with Miss. Jen – Fridays at 10:30 a.m.

Join us in the Children’s Room for a morning of stories and songs!  Stay after for a craft or activity.

Homeschool Connection – Tuesdays,  from 2:00-3:00 p.m.

Beginning March 5 and running through May 28. 

A time for families to meet, socialize, and share ideas.  Families considering homeschooling are welcome!

1st Tuesday:  Games!  Bring a favorite game to play with others.

2nd Tuesday:  Craft!  Jen will plan a craft for the group.

3rd Tuesday:  Show and Tell!  Bring something to share with the group!  It can be something you made, something you learned, or anything you want to share.

4th Tuesday:  Free Day!

 

Family Read & Watch:  Hoot by Carl Hiaasen

Friday, April 19 at 5:30 p.m.

Join us for our next Family Read & Watch Program! We’ll be reading the Newberry Honor Book, Hoot by Carl Hiaasen and watching the movie adaptation of this heroic adventure.  Recommended for ages 9 and older.

  • Step 1: Register for the event at bbhlibrary.org/readwatch on the Youth Page on our website. This program is open to kids ages 8 and older.
  • Step 2: Borrow a copy of the book and start reading!
  • Step 3: Join us for a discussion of the book over a pizza dinner and then watch the movie on Friday, April 19 at 5:30 p.m.  Popcorn provided!

Lego Club, Gaming Club & Girls Who Code meet weekly on Wednesdays from October – May. Lego Club is currently Full, but we have plenty of space in Gaming Club & Girls Who Code! More information here!
