Desiree Scorcia is our new Youth Services Librarian. She joined the Library in 2016 after three years teaching math and science and many more working in the standardized test prep industry. Desiree was born in New York City but moved to Boothbay with her family when she was seven. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in physics from Boston College and a Master’s degree in science journalism from the University of California, Santa Cruz. She moved back to Boothbay in 2009 with her children and has mostly been here ever since.
