What is Books for Babies?: Books for Babies is the Library’s way of welcoming families with newborns to come and visit and experience the free library available to them–and to encourage families to make using the library a part of their routine!
Eligible residents receive a free Books for Babies kit, which includes a brand new board book and early childhood development resources.
Who is eligible?: Boothbay Region residents who are pregnant or who have a baby under the age of one.
When should I stop by?: To get your Books for Babies kit, stop by the front desk of the library. Just mention the Books for Babies program.
At Boothbay Harbor Memorial Library, we promote literacy for all ages and the whole family!
Use the library to make learning and reading with your child simple, fun, and free.
A library card gives you and your baby access to:
- Books for all ages
- A Parent/Teacher collection to help navigate difficult topics
- Early Literacy Kits to teach concepts of color, ABCs, and more
- Books & Buddies and Felt Story Kits for at-home story time
- Yoto players (audiobooks), games, and many other items in our “Library of Things”
Visit year round for Storytime, library play, and events for all ages. We look forward to seeing you!
