Bring your own lawn chair for a free concert with the Hallowell Community Band. This time-honored tradition has taken place at BHML for more than 50 years. All ages are welcome and encouraged to attend. Come early for a good spot!
If it rains, the show will not go on.
Please note: BHML hosts this concert on the Lawn, but the Library does not organize the band. We may not be able to answer questions about performances and weather cancellations.
In addition to curating ongoing exhibits and collections of artifacts, photographs, and historical and genealogical documents, the society also presents a variety of programs of local interest throughout the year.
*Currently Great Room use & Community Room use is restricted due to space constraints. Public Programs are held on the first floor of the library in the Great Room.
The Library welcomes the use of the Community Room & Great Room by groups for educational, cultural, and civic activities. Consistent with the Library’s commitment to openness and inclusiveness, programs and meetings are encouraged to be free and open to the public. Both the Great Room and the Community Room seat up to 20 people; please note there is currently no elevator access to the second floor.
