Let’s create an apartment building using cardboard boxes! Each participant will create a room inside a small box to be stacked with others to create an inside view of life in an apartment building. We supply the materials and you supply the creativity! We will have popular stories on hand to inspire our creations like, Not-A-Box City by Antoinette Portis. This program is geared toward children ages 5 and older, but younger children are welcome with their adult helpers. Contact Jen Betts at youth@bbhlibrary.org or 633-3112 for more information.
In addition to curating ongoing exhibits and collections of artifacts, photographs, and historical and genealogical documents, the society also presents a variety of programs of local interest throughout the year.

Children & Library Cards
Children 5 years and up can get their own library card.
Children 12 years and under: we recommend a parent or guardian co-sign on the account in order to be responsible for the replacement/payment of lost or damaged items. However, we allow anyone to get a library card that can provide the information required on the Library’s registration form.
In accordance with our interpretation of Maine State Law, once a minor gets their own library account, our communications about that account are directed to the account holder.
We encourage parents and children to link accounts if they wish to share information.
