Goodbye Overdrive, Hello cloudLibrary

Maine has switched e-book platforms to 3M’s cloudLibrary.  It is significantly easier to sign up and use, but has some drawbacks including an incompatibility with Kindle Paperwhites and other e-ink readers.  In order to use the cloudLibrary you need to be able to download the cloudLibrary app (or you can stream on-screen, from your browser).

What You Need:

Valid BHML card and internet access.

Getting Started:

  1. Download the cloudLibrary app
  2. Login
    • When asked for your “Library Card ID” type your library card number, and remember it includes “bbh”  e.g: bbh9999
  3. That’s it! You’re in.  Filter the results by “Available Now” if you’re not interested in waiting for a title.
