Kale

KALE GLORIOUS KALE (AND HOW TO GET MISS H TO FEED IT TO ME)

Let’s hear it for Kale!
Glorious Kale!
K -A- L-E
Makes me so happy

My chirps ring out
Leaving no doubt
It’s kale I want,
Not a croissant!

Fresh water you restored
(then back to your keyboard)
Why thank you, appreciated
But it’s kale I anticipated

Yes, there is hay in my basket
But what of it I ask it?
Will magic prevail
And turn it to kale?

That was a loud squeak!
Oh my, did I shriek?
Did you lose your concentration?
Are you filled with frustration?

Me rattling my cage
has you re-reading the same page?
Now your work is at stake
Too bad, you made ANOTHER mistake!

Ahh! So, you finally relent
bringing me kale, I am content!
There will now be peace, rest assure
Wait, one last thing… I need MORE!
