After School Clubs at BHML!

Lego Club
Wednesdays from 2:00–3:00 p.m. 
We provide the LEGO, you provide the imagination! Get creative and build anything you choose or tackle Jen’s Lego Challenge of the day. For students in 1st–3rd grades*.

Girls Who Code Circle
Wednesdays from 4:15–5:15 p.m.
Girls Who Code is a nonprofit that aims to close the gender gap in the world of technology. This club is an opportunity for 5th-8th grade girls and non-binary students to join a network of supportive peers and role models using computer science to change the world.

BHML’s Girls Who Code Club will be led by two awesome volunteers who are Bigelow scientists by day, girls who code by night!

Gaming 3-5
Wednesdays from 2:00–3:00 p.m.
Join your friends at the library for an hour of gaming. Bring your own device or use one of ours. For students in 3rd-5th grades*.

Chess Club
Wednesdays from 5:30—6:30 p.m.
The club welcomes players of all levels from the beginner to the grand master! Learn the game or meet someone to help improve your game. Drop in anytime—no registration necessary.

*New this year: 3rd graders may choose to join Lego Club OR Gaming Club.

As always, clubs are free and open to all area students.

Pre-registration is required. Register using the form below or by calling the library at 207-633-3112 and a staff member will help you sign up over the phone.

 

Extra information about After School Clubs at BHML:

  • Check in with the school if you want your child to ride the bus to the library
  • We’ll provide a snack and water for students when they arrive at BHML
  • Please arrive promptly at the end of club meeting time to pick up your participant
