Library Services

The Boothbay Harbor Memorial Library provides the Boothbay Region with free access to information, literature, and learning opportunities; from the lending library to a year-round schedule of events and programs, there is something for everyone!

Patrons enjoy discount Museum Passes, public computers and WiFi,  and of course, access to all types of materials.  Other services include homebound delivery for housebound community members; by-request use of the lawn and community room; a community bulletin board, and the Children’s and Tween Rooms.

Physical Collections

BHML houses a lending library of over 24,000 items including books, audiobooks, DVDs, magazines, and a telescope.  BHML is part of the Minerva consortium, which enables our patrons to borrow from the collections of over 50 Maine libraries.  BHML can also make special and inter-state interlibrary loan requests via the Maine State Library.
